The Pipe Trades J.A.T.C., sponsored by the Plumbers and
Pipefitters UA Local #525 and the Mechanical Contractors
Association, Inc. is currently accepting applications for
the 2008-2009 Plumber/Pipefitter Apprenticeship Program. Our
five-year program, scheduled to begin in early 2008 consists
of paid on-the-job training, formal classroom training, and
certifications in Plumbing, Pipefitting, Welding,
Refrigeration, and HVAC. The starting wage of a First-Year
Apprentice is currently at $16.00 per hour plus fringe
benefits or forty-five percent (45%) of the Journeyman
scale, which is $35.55 per hour plus benefits.
AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION, YOU MUST PROVIDE COPIES OF THE
FOLLOWING WITH NO EXCEPTIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Birth Certificate
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (letter of intent to
graduate – H.S. Senior only)
- Legible High School Transcript
- Transcripts from any Trade School, College, etc.
VETERANS PLEASE NOTE
- You must provide your Military DD-214 Release Papers
and Military Transcripts
- Local 525 is a staunch supporter of the
Helmets to Hardhats
program
Applications are accepted Monday thru Thursday afternoons
from 1:00pm - 4:30pm. The Application Packet is available
for pick-up anytime during business hours at the Training
Center office.
